Uponor I-Shower takes home the IF Award

The digital shower controller of the Uponor I-Shower combines minimalism, accessibility, and intuitive design, making it easy for users to safely take a shower. The control is operated via buttons and a rotary dial, all of which can be identified through touch, and the device provides vibrotactile feedback in addition to visual indicators and button lights. This shower controller is part of the I-Shower concept including the Uponor Combi Port flat station (HIU), improving user comfort, energy efficiency, and water hygiene.

Re-engineering the electrical shower mixer unit into the Uponor Combi Port flat station, the I-Shower installation is limited to only one pipe per shower outlet. The powerful combination results in energy-saving and hygienic decentralized hot water supply with the shower comfort of electronic mixers. The digital controller unit is designed to be user-friendly, requiring no prior knowledge of digital shower systems. The unit is narrow and symmetrical, making it easy to install among any shower heads.

The shower controller’s design is timeless, focusing on accessibility and clear functionality and based on Uponor’s design DNA. The device has soft, rounded edges at touchpoints for a pleasant interaction, and parting lines and gaps have been minimized for easy cleaning. Durable materials withstand common bathroom chemicals.

I-Shower works in unison with Uponors Combi Port flat station.
